Therapy is intimate, so it's important that you know a bit about what your therapist brings to the room. Here is a bit about what I will bring to our sessions:
I am passionate about helping people and am a strong believer in the transformative power of therapy. I feel grateful that my job is helping others thrive.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist with degrees from UCLA School of Social Welfare, London School of Economics and NYU.
For a significant chapter of my life, I was immersed in the dynamic world of real estate development and marketing within the vibrant backdrop of New York City. Seeking more meaning in my work, I completed a Master’s in International development from the London School of Economics and forged a career path in economic development that stretched across continents, encompassing transformative experiences in both London and Nairobi.
My path took me to East Africa, where I worked with farmers to improve their livelihoods and incomes through use of technology. It was a profound privilege to engage with these communities, engaging in one-on-one dialogues with farmers, absorbing their unique stories, and gaining profound insights into the tapestry of their families and lives.
Intrigued by the human condition and motivated to work directly with individuals, I underwent yet another transformative shift in my career. I enrolled in a Masters program at UCLA, where I obtained my degree in clinical social work. Ever since, I've been fortunate to spend my days sharing the gift of therapy with my clients in individual, family, and group therapy.
If you are struggling to find meaning in your work, I see you. If you are thinking about making a major life change, I hear you. If you feel as though you are standing on a precipice, unsure of which way to step, I am here to help you find your way. Together, we will explore and together we will make a plan. I will work closely with you to learn about your unique story. I will collaborate with you to help you make choices about the next steps of your journey.
In my own life, I have a daily practice of yoga and mindfulness. When helpful, I incorporate mindfulness in my clients’ treatment.
Every person is unique, and yet, at our cores, there is more connecting us than separating us. I am looking forward to connecting with you.
"Authenticity is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s about the choice to show up and be real. The choice to be honest. The choice to let our true selves be seen” —Brene Brown
